A-MX Bike Workshop

Adventure MX has built up a reliable reputation for servicing and repairing all major brands of motorcycles and quads. Our service is of such a high nature that we constantly communicate with out customers to keep them up to date with repairs and their requirements. Adventure MX regularly maintains race bikes and quads that are being used on the National, Regional and Club circuits. We take our work very seriously and customers can be assured that our quality of work is on par or even better than recognised branded workshops. Adventure MX has 2 dedicated workshops. Our bike workshop consists of over 100sq/m of floor area and we are able to service 10 bikes simultaneously. Our quad workshop has over 40sq/m of floor area and we are able to service 4-5 quad comfortably.

Adventure MX keeps a clean and tidy workshop at all times. We feel that to maintain a professional environment the workshop needs to have demarcated areas and dedicated work space for tooling and supplies. Work benches are covered with a rubber mat and each tool has it's own place in the workshop. The workshop also has 2 laptops in specific places so that part diagrams and repair manuals are on hand when repairs are carried out. The workshop has all kinds of equipment from pneumatic tools to bench lathes to complete all kinds of repairs. In many instances we are able to manufacture certain parts in order to complete repairs timeously. Adventure MX also has a range of specialized tooling that is required to complete many repairs on various branded motorcycles. Some of the repairs include Fork / Shock repairs, wheel lacing, diagnostics for BMW's and KTM's. All engines that we rebuild go through a thorough inspection. We communicate constantly with our customers and offer solutions to the problems we encounter. We urge customers to take actively part in this process and welcome our customers to inspect the damaged parts before we replace them. Engines that we rebuild have dedicated tools that are not used for any other repairs. If any tool is not in a very good condition then we replace it immediately. All parts are placed in dedicated tray's for a particular job. In this way we can be sure that no parts are lost or damaged. For a professional service Adventure MX takes it upon ourselves to deliver a bike in a professional manner. Although it is not necessary, but we do appreciate it, we like to receive a bike in a reasonably clean state. If this is not the case, it is not a problem but we will then wash it, for which a cost will be incurred. A motorcycle will always have it's air filter cleaned and it's chain lubricated for which a minimum cost will also be incurred. Please do not bring your motorcycle in without some fuel in the tank. If this is the case you will be charged a standard levy for putting fuel in your tank so that we can do the repairs and testing that is required.		10% Discount for Oils, Oil Filters, Spark Plugs, Brake Pads, Sprockets and Chains on presentation of a valid MSA License!
Adventure MX stocks a large variety of spares and consumables for many popular bikes. We keep various quality oils and lubrications which we also use to service customers motorcycles. When customers bring their bikes in for servicing or repairs we are able to advise accordingly to what the customers needs may be. We stock many quality brands such as JT sprockets, Primary Drive Sprockets and chains, Hiflo oil filters, NGK spark plugs, Tusk/Delta/Premier/Feroda Brake Pads, Kenda, Mitas, Kings, Maxxis, Michelin Tyre & Tube products and so much more. DIAGNOSTIC TESTING FOR ALL BMW and KTM(i) MOTORCYCLES. ADVENTURE MX HAS THE FACILITY TO DO FULL DIAGNOSTIC TESTING ON BMW AND KTM MOTORCYCLES. WE ARE ABLE TO READ ERROR CODES ON ENGINES, ABS BRAKING SYSTEMS, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND OTHER SYSTEMS. ERROR CODES CAN BE CLEARED WITH THIS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM ENABLES US TO DETERMINE PROBLEMS THAT ARE PRESENT ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE SO THAT THE WORKSHOP IS ABLE TO REPAIR THEM.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. There is No Warranty on Engine Rebuilds.

2. There is No Warranty on Gearbox Rebuilds.

3. There is No Warranty on Frame Repairs. Frame repairs undertaken will be done at owners risk.

4. There is no warranty on aftermarket products used for repairs unless stated clearly otherwise.

5. 50% Deposit is required on all engine and gearbox rebuilds.

6. All work outsourced to 3rd Parties (eg: engineers) is done at the owners risk.

7. All welding undertaken will be done at owners risk.

8. All Press work undertaken will be done at owners risk.

9. All Head work undertaken will be done at owners risk.

10. All Cylinder work undertaken will be done at owners risk.

11. All panel repairs and and spray painting is sub contracted out and any warranties will be assessed by the sub contractor only.

12. Adventure MX will not be held accountable for damage, loss or theft incurred by 3rd parties contracted to do specific repairs.

13. Adventure MX will not be held accountable for damage, loss or theft with respect to fire and burglary. It is the responsibility of the owner to have his own goods insured appropriately.

14. Insurance Quotes are estimates only and will be charged at R300 irrespective of whether the item is a write off or the wreck is removed.

14a. Insurance quotes are issued on the basis that we try and make them as comprehensive as possible. Most parts are imported directly from international suppliers and we are not in control of how they change their products. It may arise from time to time that parts are not included in the original item ordered, and therefore may need to be ordered after the fact.

14b. No bike or quad will be released till such time as all accounts are settled. Any excess payable must be settled before the bike or quad is collected.

15. Storage fees will be charged at the following rates:
R50/day - Covered
R30/day - Not Covered
Storage fees will be applicable 5 days after work completion or Quotes issued. Should storage fees be implemented then these costs must be settled before any repairs/work will commence.

16. Bikes/Quads not collected after 30 days from invoice will be sold to cover defray expenses and or storage fees.

17. All work undertaken is done in good faith. Adventure MX will not be held accountable for instructions issued by the client to save costs. In cases where the bike/quad has been identified as a model that is to "old" or the repair is regarded as an "over capitalization" and Adventure MX has been instructed to complete the repair, then this is undertaken totally at the owners own risk.

18. ADVENTURE MX WILL ONLY CARRY OUT REPAIRS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED BY THE CLIENT ON THE JOB CARD. ADVENTURE MX WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR OTHER DAMAGES INCURRED AFTER THE REPAIR THAT WAS NOT LISTED ON THE JOB CARD!!!!!!!!!
