QUADS
| MODEL |
PROBLEM |
SOLUTION |
| All Quads |
Rear carrier bearings are not the sealed type. |
Replace with aftermarket sealed bearings. |
| All Quads with paper filters |
Paper filters allow to much dust through. |
Replace paper filters with foam filters that are correctly oiled.
This will extend engine life. |
| LTZ 400 / KFX 400 |
Cam chains that stretch |
Replace the foot on the auto tensioner with a aftermarket foot
which is wider and slightly longer to extend chain life and alleviate chain noise. |
| Raptor 660 |
Reverse Limiter |
Below the front sprocket is an L shaped lug. Follow the wire
up to the white plug. Splice into the green/white wire and earth it onto the frame
at some point. If it is done correctly you will notice that the reverse indicator
light does not work anymore. |
